If a mere detail of this lady's life was given, it would make a pretty large volume, for she has been acquainted with life in all its varieties, from the kept mistress of the man of rank and fashion, to the miserable condition of the wandering prostitute; and though she has had many opportunities of making herself independent, she has neglected them all, and by her natural inconstancy has often made herself wretched; for like Mrs. B----------y the actress, she has the misfortune to be almost constantly in love, and we have known her attachment for a common foot soldier outweigh the comforts of a hundred a year.
She is somewhat more than thirty, is pretty lusty; has fine dark hair; and a brown complexion; at present she is in a decent situation, and carries on a friendly correspondence with many of the tradesmen in the neighbourhood where she now lives.
